Used with added iodine-iodide solution as a selective enrichment medium for the isolation of Salmonella in clinical specimens and food, dairy and environmental samples.

Also used as part of a Salmonella enrichment protocol, when testing food and food related samples with the TECRA® Salmonella VIA™ kit.
